This black-and-white abstract drawing was formed on a gestural foundation using techniques like stippling, hatching, and detailed linework. 
 
This was created during the summer of 2022 as part of a series I call Abstract Matters. During this time, I was splitting my time between Illinois and Colorado. Travel, people-watching, and thoughts about family had me in an introspective place, thinking about my place in the world and all the other lives I share it with. Others in the series include Memory Keepers, Multifaceted Echoes, and Harvest Time's a Changin'.
 
The original drawing is acid-free, archival ink on paper (9" x 6" | 23 cm x 15 cm). Hand drawn in 2022 by Sarah Skiold-Hanlin.
