Great Blue Heron Silhouette Reproduction

This black and white, drawing of a great blue heron in a serene watery landscape was formed using a geometric foundation of vesica pisces using techniques like stippling, hatching, and detailed line work. The Great Blue Heron is the largest and most widespread heron in North America. Despite its size, they weigh only 5-6 pounds (2-3 kgs). As a symbol, this stately and majestic bird represents self-determination, self-reliance, and the ability to progress and evolve.
The original drawing is acid-free, archival ink on 100 lb bristol paper (4" x 4" | 10 cm x 10 cm). Hand drawn in 2023 by Sarah Skiold-Hanlin.
