Northern Leopard Frog Reproduction

This black and white, Northern leopard frog was formed using a geometric foundation of vesica pisces using techniques like stippling, hatching, and detailed line work. Northern leopard frogs  were abundant in North America until the 1970s. Like other aquatic animals, habitat loss, pollution, climate change, and competition contributed to their decline. As a symbol, frogs represent wealth, wisdom, good luck, cleansing, and renewal.
 
The original drawing is acid-free, archival ink on 100 lb bristol paper (14" x 17" | 36 cm x 43 cm). Hand drawn in 2023 by Sarah Skiold-Hanlin.
