This colorful, fox portrait was formed on a geometric foundation of vesica pisces using techniques like blending, shading, and detailed line work. Foxes have excellent hearing and are the only canids (animals in the dog family) with slit-shaped pupils. This helps them with night vision.

As a symbol, foxes range from tricksters to spirit guides. Quick-witted and charming, a fox guide reminds us to remain adaptable and make the most of our passion, playfulness, and creativity.
 
The original drawing is acid-free, archival and alcohol-based inks on 100 lb bristol paper (14" x 17" | 36 cm x 43 cm). Hand drawn in 2022 by Sarah Skiold-Hanlin.
