Seal Silhouette Reproduction
"fun in play, wealth in discovery"
 
This black and white, drawing of a silhouetted harbor seal was formed on a geometric foundation of vesica pisces using techniques like stippling, hatching, and detailed line work. Seen hunting or playing here, young seals are left after the first month and learn to hunt on their own. With huge eyes to see better in the deep dark depths of the sea, they share a common ancestor with dogs and bears. As a symbol, seals represent innocence, wealth, innovation, and curiosity.
 
The original drawing is acid-free, archival ink on 100 lb bristol paper (6" x 6" | 15 cm x 15 cm). Hand drawn in 2023 by Sarah Skiold-Hanlin.
